Medicare enrollment is one of the most confusing experiences in American healthcare. Medicare Step-by-Step was designed to change that — transforming a bureaucratic process into a calm, confidence-building journey. The work began with deep visual exploration: establishing a brand direction that felt trustworthy, human, and distinctly Cambia before a single screen was built.
Before any UI work began, design boards were developed to align stakeholders on visual tone — color, type, illustration style, and overall brand personality. Establishing this shared visual language upfront allowed the design to move with intention at every subsequent stage.
The interface is fully responsive, with a step-based progress model that gives users a clear sense of where they are and what comes next. The pacing was carefully considered — breaking a complex topic into digestible moments without sacrificing depth.
Based on user inputs, the experience generates a personalized timeline of key Medicare dates, tailored resources, and relevant FAQs — turning a generic enrollment process into something that feels built specifically for the individual.
